Dortmund is the economic, cultural and trade center of Westphalia. In addition, six universities, with around 40,000 students, play a great importance on technology and science. Dortmund is well known for its sportive flag, the football club Borussia Dortmund with its home playground Signal Iduna Park. Further attractions and landmarks of the city are the Dortmunder U, the Westenhellweg, the Reinoldikirche, the Westfalenhallen and the DFB-Fußballmuseum, opened in October 2015.+ Pick-up Service from Airport or Central Station

Our pick-up service costs for Düsseldorf 50,00 €, Cologne 85,00 €, Dortmund 20,00 €.
We can pick you up from the central station, as well. Picking up from the central station costs for Dortmund 0,00 €, Essen 30,00 €, Düsseldorf 50,00 €, Köln 80,00 €.+ Accommodation
On request we can help you to find an apartment or a room. For this service, we charge a one-time service fee of 300,00 €. It is important that you inform us about 3 months before your arrival. The amount of the rent and deposit depends on the size, location and equipment (furnished / not) of the room or apartment. The deposit is usually fully refunded, if all the points of the rental agreement are met.+ Health Insurance
In Germany there is compulsory health insurance. Every language student must have a health insurance (HI). We are glad to help you to select a health insurance with a good price-performance ratio. This service is free of charge.+ Local Public Transport / Passenger Transportation
If the prerequisites (university entrance qualification) are met, with the confirmation of participation by IBZ Dortmund, our language students can receive the semester ticket of the TU Dortmund. The semester ticket is valid throughout NRW, but only for public transport.
We would be also happy to advise our participants on reduced-price public transport tickets (i.e. Youngticket) in the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Ruhr (VRR). In the Ruhr area you can reach almost any place by public transport, since the Ruhr area has the largest public passenger transport network in Germany.+ Documents for Visa Application
